Pennsylvania Photographer

Jenn + Paul // July 15th, French Creek Golf Club, Elverson, PA

It was a rainy day in Pennsylvania, that seems to be how all my weddings have started this year, but this one changed. The day cleared and became as beautiful as Jenn and Paul were on their wedding day. The ceremony moved to the barn, mainly so no one sunk in to the wet grass, but look at this barn! Rain or shine, this barn might have been my choice anyway! Jenn and Paul are two of the sweetest, most fun loving couples I have had. The smiles on their faces were so genuine and filled with Joy that you couldn't help but be swept up in the happiness of the day. Oh and I didn't even mention the venue! Can I do my wedding all over again to have it at French Creek Golf Club? I was truly sad when the day had to end but love going back and reliving the day through photos.

Nicole & Ryan are married - December 9, 2017

No one remembers the cold. Everyone worries about rain on their wedding day, but what about snow? On December 9th I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Ryan and Nicole's wedding. I first met the couple through my family. I was immediately struck by how kind and caring they were to everyone. They are both quick to make friends and easy to be friends with. I arrived at the salon with the snow outside slowly accumulating. The energy of the room was infectious. The snow was spoken about with excitement. This may have been the most relaxed bride I had ever met, after all, this day was a long time coming. The girls got ready and everyone waited to be taken to the church. We were a little late, but the wedding couldn't get started without the bride of course. Everything went off without a hitch and Nicole and Ryan were finally married!

After the church we went for some snowy photos at Swarthmore College. The men were fairly warm in their suits while the girls were troopers trudging though the snow. The bride even borrowed the driver's coat to keep her warm. We made quick work of the photos and then spent the next 15 minutes trying to find the bus (everything looks the same covered in snow).

The reception was at The Old Mill in Rose Valley, which is beautiful without snow but the addition of it made it even more so. The bridal party had a little break before mingling with guests. After cocktails and the toasts the real party began! Dancing to the music of Slippery Band, the floor was filled up till the last song of the night. What a wonderful way to start their life together. No one remembers the cold.

About me -

Let me introduce myself.  I am a Jersey girl living in Delaware by way of Pennsylvania. I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter who is by far my favorite subject, my loving, supportive husband and our rescue dog Guinness. I continued my education after high school, as most do, when I attended Muhlenberg College in the fall of 2000.  After 2 years, with the help and encouragement of my family, I left Muhlenberg and began attending The Art Institute of Philadelphia for Photography. It was surprisingly harder than one would expect. I graduated in 2004. My goal after I graduated was to be able to support myself as a professional photographer. It was a very difficult time and for the good of my family I set that dream aside to get a full time job in another field.

After a year or 2 of working, I found myself working in non-profit events and fundraising. It was rewarding but at the same time something was missing.  Fast forward to this past October when, with the support of my husband, I left my full-time, benefit paying, 9 to 5 job to pursue my love, photography.  Please browse my website and feel free to contact me! Tell me what you love, hate or just want to vent about.  This blog will be where you will find anything from sneak peaks of photo sessions to my thoughts and feeling about this new venture and photography.  Enjoy!
